Reading skills are known as one of the four language skills that challenge students in academic studies in foreign language teaching. In a globalizing world, students need more literacy skills. In this context, the importance given to reading skills in foreign language teaching is increasing. In order to bring students' reading skills to the desired level in foreign language classes, it is very important for students to know reading strategies and models. For this reason, the importance of reading skills in a foreign language teaching is explained in this study, and information is given about the reading strategies and models that need to be learned in order to be successful in reading skills.
